About This Plant

As a member of the Double Play series of spirea, Double Play Big Bang spirea sports superior color and a landscape-worthy habit. From spring through fall, this spirea provides shining color in the garden. Foliage glows orange in spring, and in summer, foliage transitions to bright yellow and is adorned with massive pink flowers of a size never seen before. It may be trimmed after bloom to get an extra flush of colorful new growth. Double Play Big Bang Spiraea is a durable shrub tolerant of deer and drought. This spirea is perfect for mixed borders and foundation plantings and makes a statement in mass plantings.
