Delivery & Shipping

How and when DreamDropGardens ships live plants, and what shipping costs.

Last updated

We ship live plants, which means timing matters more than it does for most orders. This page explains when your plants leave us, what you pay for shipping, and what to do if something arrives in poor condition.

Where we ship

Checkout ships within the United States. Orders are dispatched from Plano, TX.

We can't ship certain species into states with agricultural restrictions. If a restriction applies to something in your order, we'll contact you before shipping.

International orders

We do ship internationally, but not through the checkout — plants crossing a border need paperwork completed first, such as a phytosanitary certificate and, depending on the destination, an import permit. That has to be arranged per order and per country.

Message us at hello@dreamdropgardens.com or +1-469-279-0438 before you order. Tell us the destination country and which plants you're after, and we'll confirm whether they can be imported, what documentation is needed, and what shipping will cost.

Please allow extra time — the paperwork can take several weeks, and some species can't be exported to some countries at all.

Shipping costs

Shipping is calculated at checkout based on your delivery address and the size of your order. You'll see the exact rate, and be able to choose between available services, before you enter any payment details.

Orders over $99.00 may qualify for free standard shipping within the United States. The qualifying amount is calculated on the order subtotal, before tax and shipping. International orders are always quoted at carrier rates.

When your order ships

In-stock plants normally leave us within 3–5 business days. We avoid shipping into extreme heat or hard freezes — if the forecast at your address would damage the plant in transit, we hold the order and let you know.

Pre-ordered plants ship in the window for their season, on or near the ship date you selected at checkout. Those windows are:

  • Spring: ships February 1, 2027 – April 30, 2027. Free cancellation until September 1, 2026.
  • Summer: ships April 1, 2027 – September 30, 2027. Free cancellation until December 1, 2026.
  • Autumn: ships September 15, 2026 – November 15, 2026. Free cancellation until July 1, 2026.

Arrival condition

Bare-root and dormant plants often arrive looking unpromising — limp leaves, no foliage, dry-looking roots. That is normal and not damage. Plant them and give them a few weeks.

If a plant arrives genuinely damaged — broken at the crown, crushed, or clearly dead — photograph it and email hello@dreamdropgardens.com within 7 days of delivery. See our refund policy for what happens next.

Local pickup

Local pickup is available for some orders. When it applies, it appears as an option at checkout with a $0 rate, and we'll contact you to arrange a time.
