Returns & Refunds

Live plants can't be restocked once they've left us, so our returns policy works differently from a typical retailer's. Please read this before ordering, especially the pre-order section.

90 days plant guarantee

Every plant we ship is covered for 90 days from delivery. If it arrives damaged, fails to break dormancy, or fails in that time despite reasonable planting and care, email hello@dreamdropgardens.com with photographs of the plant and its packaging and we'll replace it once, in the next suitable shipping window, or refund it if we can't. The guarantee covers the plant, not shipping on the replacement.

Please don't return a plant to us unless we ask you to — photographs are enough, and shipping it back rarely helps. The guarantee doesn't cover plants lost to neglect, frost outside their hardiness zone, animals, or being left in the box — living things need planting promptly.

Cancelling an in-stock order

You can cancel an order that hasn't shipped yet for a full refund. Email hello@dreamdropgardens.com as soon as possible — once a plant is packed and dispatched, we can no longer cancel it.

Pre-orders and deposits

Pre-ordering reserves a specific plant for you and takes it off our available stock, sometimes for months. Because of that, pre-orders carry their own terms, which you accept at checkout.

You pay a 50% deposit when you place a pre-order. The remaining balance is charged automatically to the same card when your order ships. You may also choose to pay in full up front.

Each season has a free-cancellation date. Cancel before it and your deposit is refunded in full. Cancel on or after it and a 20% cancellation fee applies, because at that point the plant has been held out of stock through its selling season.

• Spring: ships February 1, 2027 – April 30, 2027. Free cancellation until September 1, 2026.
• Summer: ships April 1, 2027 – September 30, 2027. Free cancellation until December 1, 2026.
• Autumn: ships September 15, 2026 – November 15, 2026. Free cancellation until July 1, 2026.

Extended warranty

If you added the 1 year extended warranty at checkout, the 90 days guarantee above stretches to 1 year from delivery, on the same terms — one replacement, reasonable planting and care, plant but not shipping.

The warranty charge itself is non-refundable once your order has shipped.

How refunds are issued

Refunds go back to the original payment method. Once we issue one, your bank typically posts it within 5–10 business days — that part is outside our control.
