About This Plant
Heavenly Blue is the classic sky-blue morning glory (Ipomoea tricolor), with large trumpet flowers and a white-and-yellow throat, set against heart-shaped green leaves. A fast, twining vine that climbs 8 to 12 feet in one season. Each flower opens in the morning and closes by afternoon, with new ones every day from midsummer until frost. Grown as an annual outside zones 10 and 11; give it full sun and a trellis, fence or arbor. The seeds are toxic if eaten.
