About This Plant
Ruby is a small, upright Full Moon maple (Acer japonicum). Spring leaves open a near-black red and brighten to blood red, mature to bronzed green with a dark edge in summer, and colour red, orange and purple in fall. About 10 feet tall and 5 feet wide in 10 years; unlike similar 'Aka Omote' it takes full sun.
