About This Plant
Boxwoods are some of the most deer-resistant and shade-tolerant shrubs, and with Chicagoland Green boxwood, you can add fast-growing and cold hardy to that list of features. This shrub was selected at the Chicago Botanic Garden for its superior hardiness in the Windy City. As a result, it is popular in the Midwest and other cold areas. Chicagoland Green Buxus x is semi-dwarf with a dense rounded habit. It's perfect for foundation plantings, a shrub border, or a low hedge, whether trimmed to be more formal or left to its natural shape.
